FAMILY HISTORY

Maître Gérard Eyschen, born in 1800 († 1859), was admitted to the Luxembourg bar in 1826. He became magistrate and finally became president of the District Court of and in Diekirch in 1840, president of the District Court of and in Luxembourg in 1842 and magistrate to the Superior Court of Justice in 1843. He was a member of Luxembourg Parliament. He is the great-uncle of Theodore Risch.


Maître Paul Eyschen, born in 1841 († 1915), was admitted to the Luxembourg bar in 1865. He was elected member of Luxembourg Parliament in 1866 and held the position of Director General of Justice at the Ministry of Justice from 1876 to 1888 and joined the Ministry of State from 1888 to 1915. He is the uncle of Theodore Risch.


Maître Théodore Risch, born in 1854 († 1937), was admitted to the Luxembourg bar in 1878 and was a member of the Parliament. He is the father-in-law of Robert Frauenberg. He is the great-great-grand-father of Mr Yann Baden. 


His son-in-law Paul Ruppert, born in 1875 (†1950), honorary president of the District Court, was a lawyer at the Luxembourg Bar and President of the Bar Association from 1926 to 1928. Paul Ruppert’s daughter, Etty Ruppert, was a lawyer and married Roger Wurth, who was a notary.


Maître Robert Frauenberg, son-in-law of Theodore Risch and brother-in-law of Paul Ruppert, born in 1881 († 1914), was admitted to the Luxembourg bar in 1904. He became a counselor at the Ministry of Justice. He was the father-in-law of Max Baden.


Maître Max Baden, born in 1909 († 1976), admitted to the Luxembourg bar, left the bar during the German occupation of the 2nd World War and was readmitted after the liberation in 1945. He was President of the Luxembourg Bar from 1968 to 1970. He is the father of Georges Baden.


Maître Georges Baden, born in 1937 († 2015), was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 1961. He was President of the Luxembourg Bar Association from 1992 to 1993. He has been both a litigation lawyer and a judicial representative. He was appointed liquidator of the IIT investment fund (IOS) in 1972 and of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) in 1992. His brothers Marc and Frank are respectively lawyer and notary. He is the father of Yann Baden.
